Step 2 worked for me. I took the batteries out and held the power button as you said then put in new batteries and now I have my TV back. Also, my sound bar had stopped working and this procedure also got it to work again. Thank you.

Just fyi in electronics folks including your computers, phone, tabs etc you need to hard reset them. To clear corrupt memory. By holding down the power buttons for 15 to 30 secs id just do 30 secs to be safe. If possible turn off the unit unplug power source either a cord or battery power for some laptops that would be the cord plus battery. Then Hold down the power button for 30 secs. Install batteries / cables. This should be your first then you can do if XYZ tech is not working. Great Video...
