Blurry Font And Program Fix For HD Screens - Windows 11

Windows 11 has some great new features and is incredibly better than Windows 8.1. However, one annoyance of Windows 11 on a high-resolution display – some fonts are blurry or fuzzy. Here’s a look at the problem and how to fix it.

The problem is if you have a screen resolution of 1920×1180 or higher, most of the time the DPI scaling is set to at least 125% to make everything easier to read.

Densely packing pixels into a small screen makes photos and apps look stunning. However, it also makes desktop programs, that aren’t designed to run at high resolutions, small and difficult to see.

And because Windows 11 is using a different scaling method for DPI, it causes the fuzzy text problem.

The perfect fix for Project Professional on a 2nd display. My current date line and status date line disappeared constantly. The first change made my main screen a little blurry, so I switched back to "Let Windows Choose, " which cleared that screen up. On my 2nd and 3rd screens, some graphics never appeared before doing the registry mod. I can't thank you enough. One less thing I need to worry about when I have to do my weekly construction schedule update. I have been trying to fix it for 1yr.+. Major props!!!

i was using a 1440p monitor before switching back to my 1080p one. everything was so small and blurry, and i tried everything i knew of. this worked great, thanks

Hi! This helps on my 1920x1080p 15" laptop screen, but when I connect external 23" 1080p display it gets scaled to 125% too. Is it possible to configure these settings to work with laptop screen only? thanks

I had an issue last night while playing games and recording my screen using snipping tools. Screen fonts became blurry and well I had to restart my pc and it's back to normal. But I still tried your two steps and my fonts have been a bit larger but not too large and apps too but it's okay for me though since I'm a near-sighted person😂.. Thanks for the tutorial..

First option fixed it. Thought it was an issue with firefox because I just upgraded to 11 and changed browsers at the same time. Fixed it perfectly for me thanks.

Thank you MDTechVideos, that fixed my issue, i thought either my eyesight has issues or my monitor has gone bad as i upgraded both laptop and desktop to windows 11.
