I think being mentally strong is a sign of high self-esteem, and believing in yourself, not looking to people for recognition, but have faith in yourself, and have self confidence in what you say and do.

It's helpful for me to view this as things "mentally strong" people don't *usually* do, or don't *frequently* do. Because it's likely that almost everyone has done or experienced these things at some point in their life, mentally strong or not. One thing they mentioned here was not beating yourself up. To me, this is a reminder that even if we've done these things at times, it doesn't make us mentally weak either, because there is a spectrum. It's not black and white. I prefer to look at mental strength as an ongoing practice, a skill that we commit to building. For many of us, this strength is in progress. Just keep going 💪!

Yay, I am mentally strong, even if learned through lessons, or the way I was raised. I do believe when it comes to matters of the heart, sometimes it takes time to think an assess, especially when my gut is giving me strong vibes (stomach has far more neurons than our brains for a reason) I usually just retreat, and kind of meditate on situation, praying for guidance and wisdom. Not sure if that would be overthing, I feel it's practical and necessary
