It would be very interesting to test Guardio and others browser security extensions to see the best one!

Ublock origin would have been a better control (testing with both blocklists that are enabled by default and all available blocklists in ublock). Operas built in adblock might have also been interesting to see since it whitelists domains of its advertising partners.

I don't mean to undermine guardio protection against malicious phishing links, but I think it comes with the cost of privacy because If I'm not mistaken it sends every url you visit to a server to look it up in existing lists of malicious links, in contrast google safe browsing is done locally.

What's to say that Guardio doesn't use "Phishtank" as a source for it's blocklist? This is an ad.

video should be titled "Bloatware vs. Spyware". no amount of random plugins is going to help you

What about Firefox? I haven't used anything else for almost 20 years.

guardio is very shady, any potential buyers be warned

Like your other content but man these sponsored videos that clearly paint the sponsor as the miracle cure are just not it, although there might have been good intentions it just comes across as deceptive marketing

This is just an ad for Guardio. A sponsored video.

I have Malwarebytes Premium and I use the extension for Edge and I confess it is a good companion. It's not the first time I've received threats without leaving Google. There are people who say "I don't go to suspicious sites..." and neither do I, but I've seen threats blocked by Malwarebytes even on news sites a few times.

Video screams promotion hidden behind a "comparison"

MalwareBytes Browser Guard?
Adguard?
uBlock Origin?
These are missing.

In my opinion, it's unfair not to enable advanced protection in Google Chrome and Edge and only compare the default settings with an addon that presumably has full protection enabled.
Seems like a promotional video to me, hidden behind a Browser Comparison. Actually, I always liked you for your neutrality and fairness in the tests against different products. I'm disappointed with the video, was personally looking forward to a fair comparison and not a promotional video.

My thoughts: Could you do the same using either Bitdefender and or Kaspersky, both Paid versions. Thanks

gonna have to agree with some of the others. having guardio on the scoreboard feels misleading/dishonest.

clearly only edge and chrome are mentioned in the title, but then only they should be on the scoreboard. plus w your guardio discount/affiliate/etc link at the

that v much reads as a promotional video.

theres other little things. but i think leaving guardio off the scoreboard would make this feel leagues less biased.

Guardio is closed source and I don't feel any safer using it. Although I never really fell for phishing scams so I guess it doesn't really matter

I’d love to see how something like ublock origin does in this kind of test

Brave is not just a reskin tho, the built-in shields are pretty great and i'm disppointed you used some weird sponsored extension and not the stock browser abilities :/
