Well worth testing browsers with phishing websites, which I was expecting this video to cover. Unlike malicious file links, web browsers tend to perform bad at blocking phishing websites from my experience.

Testing for false positive would be great because edge is asking if the user want to download uncommon files, so the test is not representative at all, since it could flag non malicious application.
Also WTF how Firefox is worse than Chrome, they both use Google Safe Web for their detection mechanism, did Google rigged their own APIs on purpose?

I'll still keep you though, Firefox 💯

Would love to see how the brave browser would perform.

I hope this video wont give people the wrong idea about whether Firefox is a bad browser based on this test alone, Firefox is absolutely a great browser, blocking malicious links are only an additional feature of any browser, Microsoft with its in house antivirus labs will absolutely win this section for sure, but being one of the very few non-chromium browsers today, Firefox has to survive for fighting the chromium monopoly like once we had IE monopoly.

Really insightful as when thinking about browsers most using chromium apart from Firefox and apple it's interesting to see there is still extra add-on security in its chromium variants. Wonder if you could test more browsers.

Microsoft has really upped their game recently when it comes to combatting malware, it's quite welcoming to see.

We had two chromium-based and one gecko-based browsers here. There are several mods on these. Would be interesting to see how different version be doing.

You said that you tested "the latest versions" of the browsers. It would have been nice if you included the actual version number of each.

Thanks for the test and the interesting results! Next time you do a similar test I would love to see the Brave browser as well :)

Leo, the test is REALLY excellent! really like the testing procedures that most other AV testers do not let people see the testing procedures

Ok, this is weird, would love to know what the devs have to say about this, cause Firefox new release had something called RLBox for better security and isolation. I'm all Firefox user and really wanna know what the heck just happened.

I was looking forward to this video and absolutely liked it. Could you please make a comparison between these exact same three browsers in terms of battery consumption with windows 11

You could also add Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and Waterfox to the test.

I like the new attack testing framework your doing.

Great video. Surprising results. It would be great of you could include Opera (for Windows) next time. Not sure if you can run same test on an Android environment for Brave and Duck Duck Go. Great content 👍

This is a good comparison of the Anti-Malware capabilities of browsers but it is by far not the only thing that should be considered when choosing a browser for privacy and security.
