I have a great idea for Wirecutter: You should do a year-end video where you put all your "BESTs" from the year into a house or apartment and you show a day in the life/routine living with all the products that won best in that category for that year. A person would wake up on the best bed-mattress combo, brush their teeth with the best toothbrush, make coffee in the best coffee maker, and sit on the best sofa to read the news on the best tablet. They would go on to work at the best office desk with the best keyboard and monitor, and end their day making dinner with some of the best appliances. The video could end with a quick reflection on what worked and what didn't work so well while including what they would replace. There could be more content in the video based on each member of the family because a mother would have a different routine from a teenage son. I'd wait all year for that video.

Justin, why should we trust you? What is your height and weight? I know Wirecutter isn't always about super scientific testing but I also know that different mattresses are better for different body types.

Also, did you actually sleep the whole night in any of them? I feel like that should be the bare requisite for being able to tell us which mattress to buy.

A cheap spring mattress is worse than cheap foam? Seriously guys?.. 🙄 my back pain begs to differ. It's hard to get a spring mattress wrong. As for foam, well, that's another story
