This video shows how to replace the fuel pump and fuel filter on a 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1. The process should be the same on all 94-04 Mustangs (Except the 03/04 Cobra has 2 pumps and would be harder to get to the fuel filter due to the IRS).

Thank you for this video. I'm having some of the same symptoms on my 03 GT. For awhile it would run rough about 5 mins and now won't run at all. Car sat for a long time now has new battery and cranks real fast over and over and that's it. Thank you.

I really appreciate you making this diagnostic video, it helped me a lot. My '03 GT was doing the same thing as your GT in the video. I replaced the fuel pump over the weekend and that completely solved the problem. I was concerned that the problem might be something else because the car has only 64, 000 miles (although it is 18 years old). Thanks again!

Fuel pump is always bad timing cause your fuel tank is full seems to do that a lot. Good video

how do you know if its the fuel pump or just a clogged fuel filter? mine can turn over a few tries without starter fluid then run for 30 minutes perfectly fine even when revving it at idle? you think its the fuel pump?

Any answers would be appreciated. My wife’s car idles fine, and I can rev it up fine in park. When I put it in drive and accelerate, it stalls almost immediately. I changed the fuel pump, and cleaned the throttle body. It still does the same thing. Any ideas? Throttle position sensor? Fuel filter? Something else?

I got a 95 GT when i run it hard and its gets hot it seems like the fuel pump decides to take a breather until it cools down. Will turn but no crank for about 30 mins .

my car doesnt crank at all. You turn the key and its quiet, you wait a few minutes and it cranks and starts when you try again. Could it still be a bad fuel pump?
