Seriously. Ben couldn’t argue anything factual. Went straight to insults.

Sorry, but on this one, it's Tyson for the win. Tyson 1 / Shapiro 0

Free will does not explain flood, leukemia, earthquakes, etc

Saying pain & suffering is good in god's eyes seems a little sick tbh. Its like saying a parent that beats their child is doing it for the childs own good.

As a fan of you Ben, Neil's argument made far more sense. You can't say bad things happen bc God let it happen to give us free will. How does an infant dying at birth correlate to free will

Ben’s first response - insult Neil.

Second - God defines what’s good and what’s not - does God think the tsunami and earthquake were good?

Third - Our free choice leads to bad things - I don’t think any human has ever been able to cause an earthquake or a tsunami? Unless you’re saying all the people that died somehow deserved it.

What did the Jewish people do wrong to deserve the holocaust?

Bro just said that childhood leukaemia is caused by poor choices 💀

I had childhood cancer, and I still believe He’s good.

I always look at bad things as a parent... Sometimes my kids think i don't love them because i make them experience hard things. They don't understand why i would make them do those things and feel it's ruining their lives. But I'm trying to help them grow into something better than they are. Giving them everything they think they need doesn't do that. God is doing the same thing to us. He knows what we need to become and that we will grow stronger through our hard experiences.

Talking to an astrophysicist about God...what could go wrong?

He didn't bring up free will. He talked about natural disasters and child leukemia.

Neil doesn't even know what a woman is.

But an earthquake, tsunami or childhood lukeamia isnt free will.. that explanation makes no sense

I was kinda expecting an actual rebuttals... But the first one is "moral relativism, deity edition", and the other is "I sent a hurricane so as to enable free will."

I can't take this man seriously, he thinks gender is a construct lol

A tsunami or earthquake killing hundreds of thousands has absolutely nothing to do with anyone's freewill or choices... You did not address his criticism of God.

The best line about this I ever heard was from Morgan Freedmen saying "if you pray to God for patience should he make you patient or give you the opportunities to be patient.

Niel just listed off several opportunities given directly by God and managed to think they are evidence to the contrary.

Not for nothing but I don't think childhood leukemia was a free will choice, my man

Does that mean that Ben defines the death of millions of people as good?? Bruh

Is almost like there isn’t a devil.
I swear, people will blame God for the devil’s work, but pray and say that their family member will go to heaven when they pass.

When undesirable things happen to us, we call it bad, but when animals do things to other animals, we say it's just nature.
