Ironically enough, with new discoveries, science has to reevaluate their understanding as well.

For me the meaning of science is studying and observing the creation created by one Great Creator

One thing I like about Neil of the Grass Tyson is that he doesn't talk much, he always listens and considers all points of view deeply.

Imagine trying to critique Christian Theology without reading the Church fathers 💀

“Nowhere in the Gospel do we read that the Lord said: "I am sending you a Paraclete who will teach you about the course of the sun and moon." For He wanted to make Christians, not mathematicians.”- St. Augustine

I pity the person that listens to NDT for knowledge on religion

He also once claimed Christians tried to change the value of Pi because it contradicted the Bible. Never happened.

Science doesn't discover things. Scientists do.

The problem with so many science popularizers as Dr. William Lane Craig has pointed out is they may seem smart when it comes to hard science but when they start getting in the realms of theology and philosophy they fall flat on their faces. Dawkins “The God Delusion” is full of arguments that even atheist philosophers deem incoherent.

Tyson likes to pretend he knows a lot about everything.

So essentially, Neil deGrasse sets up young earth creationism as a strawman to conclude that changing interpretation undermines divine authority.

Tyson's voice gives off a very proud "I'm smarter than you, and I can't be wrong about anything, " sort of vibe. I think he's an OK scientist, it's just very clear theology and its history is not his strong suit.

I've seen Neil DeGrasse Tyson speak on a range of topics recently and he's pretty much factually incorrect about most things- he's the propaganda king.

Science was invented as a gateway to further understanding the beauty and complexity of God’s creation.

I like Tyson a lot, he is a great educator, but scientists need to be very careful when they stray into theology and they haven't studied it.

Must have cut off the first part where the interviewer asks "what are some of your completely unfounded assumptions about Christianity?"

I unfortunately had to hear the guy live once. He’s confident, well spoken, and wrong about everything. He actually said that “salt of the earth” came from the Civil War (which was weird because it wasn’t relevant to the topic at hand). Bro missed it by almost 2, 000 years.

It sickens me how celebrity status suddenly qualifies the most ignorant to comment, even lecture on just about any topic!
