Real History Of Kashmir 🙏🏻🇮🇳
In first half of the 1st millennium, the Kashmir region became an important center of Hinduism, which was followed by Buddhism. Buddhism was taken over by Shaivism in the ninth century. Islam took its roots in Kashmir during 13th to 15th centuries and led to eventual decline of the Shaivism. Maharaja Hari Singh agreed to accede his state to the Dominion of India. On 27 October 1947, the then Governor-General of India, Lord Mountbatten accepted the accession.

The word Kashmir is thought to have been derived from Sanskrit and was referred to as káśmīra. A popular local etymology of Kashmira is that it is land desiccated from water. An alternative etymology derives the name from the name of the Vedic sage Kashyapa who is believed to have settled people in this land.

Kashmir, if literally translated, means land desiccated from water: “Ka” (the water) and shimeera (to desiccate). Tradition says that Kashmir was originally a lake that was drained by the great saint of ancient India Kashyap.until islam came from back door
