I teach you the best way to fight the new warden in Minecraft 1.19! The warden is a hostile mob summoned by sculk shriekers. They are completely blind and thus rely on vibrations and their sense of smell to identify the player and other mobs.

Also you can make a "Skeleton Farm" put powdered snow so the convert into "Strays" and with looting 3 you'll have a lot of slowness arrows.

NOTE FOR ANYONE TRYING THIS in like May 2022 onwards - until they buff it again, of course-
The Warden's Sonic attack, and change to NO LONGER BEING UNDEAD - means you'd use Sharpness, not smite
So, IF you absolutely need to fight the Warden and not die- one method to survive that still works is indeed this, the direct approach-
You MUST bring-
lots of Gold apples, Prot 4 netherite full, Lots of Turtle master Level 2 potions(not sure if Lvl 1 is strong enough for this)

For offense- Sharpness 5 netherite swords and axes, Strength 2 potions,

Enchanted Gold Apples for emergenccies
optional: Night vision, pearls for movement, Swiftness 2 to help counter slowness tho not needed actually
optional:Obviously instant health and regen potions help, totems buy you only a single hit's worth of time but can't hurt. Shield can help a tiny bit/

optional:Power 5 punch 2 bow with spectral arrows for support, warden is immune to Knockback- but NOT punch

Strat: when you see it- eat a golden apple(for absorption 1, you NEED this!), drink turtle master lvl 2 and strength 2 Charge it, GET CLOSE, -and start using critical hits as MUCH as possible! You'll kill it in 20 or less hits pending if you use axes or swords, and slug it out! It won't sonic boom you in the middle of a superstrength beat em up slugfest like this at close range.
Have the Enchanted golden apple in hotbar for if you somehow don't get in hits while it whails on you, for pinches.

Who knew turtles had the final secret to surviving in a certain death scenario.
Note: the devs are still buffing it, but keep this direct approach method in mind - it may be the only way to survive in the future!

Full Netherite actually may not be as desirable as you think.
It provides extra toughness, but the effect is shockingly small. Especially on hard.
Meanwhile, it provides knockback resistance. I dunno about you, but after I've been hit by a warden, I want to get out of range and heal ASAP.

I just did some science in my creative mode redstone world.

Netherite sword, all critical hits:

Smite 5 sword: 42 hits
Sharp 5 sword: 34 hits
Sharp 5 sword with Strength 2: 21 critical hits

Bow (keep in mind that bows can random crit):

Power 5 with health 2 arrows: 48 shots
Power 5 with harm 2 arrows: 30 shots

Potion (all direct hits):

Harming 2: 42 bottles
Poison 2: 14 bottles (takes forever) + one finishing blow
