How to Rename the Software Distribution Folder in Windows

Software Distribution folder is an important folder in windows, because it contains histry files of Windows Update. If you delete Software Distribution folder you will lose your Windows Update history. Sometime if Windows Update is not working properly and also the size of this folder become large then you can delete the Software Distribution folder.
To Rename the software distribution folder.
Follow the steps below;
Press windows key + X,click Command prompt (Admin).
Type: net stop WuAuServ.
or
Type: net stop bits
Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter.
Type: net start WuAuServ.
or
Type: net start bits
