I have to open different pdf files, read the persons name, and then rename the files with a specific pattern using the persons name

great ... for this kind of 'bulk-renaming' though, i usually just move them to a folder named 'whatever' (say Disneyland for example) and keep the date and time intact instead of deleting them ... (yes, date and time remain intact on the Properties of each file, but i'd rather see them right o the file's name ...)

now, what if i want to bulk-rename a bunch of files, similar to what you show here, while also still keeping each file's date by the new name as well? can i do it using the same little trick here?

or, what about when i have to rename many files in weird ways, say, keep only one letter in the name in the middle of it, while changing the rest of the letters before and after that? can Windows also do that as well?

I accidentally did this to a batch of files that I didn't want to rename and couldn't seem to undo.
Thankfully I could count the number of files with my two hands.
God forbid if it was all files in that particular folder.
