The BEST EYE DROP TREATMENT FOR SEVERE DRY EYES - Serum Tears. Shannon Wong, MD

As we age, we make less tears. By age 50, most people have mild dry eyes. By age 70, we all have dry eyes. The most common treatment for dry eye is using artificial tears, gels or ointments which can be purchased over-the-counter.

I suffer from dry eyes after having 2 past Lasik procedures (first one was botched), and cataract surgeries this year. Now I have residual astigmatism, and my doctor wants me to have PRK or Lasik but is holding off until my dry eye symptoms improve. I was so excited to watch your video - and thank you for it - because Xiidra and other drops offer only temporary relief. However, I live out of state, so unfortunately this is not a solution. Meibo Has been working just fine for me. I’ve taken Restasis and just about every over the counter drops.

Thank you for the video. It was very useful. I have severe dry eyes which artificial tears, compresses and restasis are not addressing. I also have map dot dystrophy. I am in the uk and am going to try to get the serum drops. My question today is are the serum drops ok if you also have map dot dystrophy.? Many thanks Jane

Used tacrimilus around my eyes for Blepharitus. Seems like it also helped the eyelids and my tear film /oils got better. Protopic. I am also on Restasis for a few years now. The Tacrimilus was just for six weeks so far. Two weeks off. Then either twice a day again, or just twice a week. We will see.

After all it is only drops, I do not see how that will fix the root cause especially if some one has Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), the video showed the procedure but not how it works (if it does).

I used Serum drops many years ago when they first came out. They did not help me at all. I used them for two or three years. Are they improved now? Are they perhaps stronger?

If we take care of are eyes warm compressed and all will it still progress 😢am so new to this but is gona be a year and somedays am ok but other days it leaves me depressed to the point a paralize

Nothing has worked for me. My DR sent me to a local lab for Serum Tears. Hopes this works.
