this is great❤ yesterday my pastor illustrated The words of Jesus: " I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." (John 14:20) by the  image of nesting dolls, one in another! it was brilliant for me to see as a picture

The body of Christ is not a holy priesthood or a nation. If you know what a priest is and what his duties were, you would know we are not priest's. We are members of the body with Jesus Christ being the Head. We get our salvation message of salvation by grace through faith alone from the words Jesus gave Paul for us today. And from him only. Paul NEVER calls us priest. Study the responsibilities of the priest. We don't do those responsibilities. The priest hood was for Israel only.

u r on point Kris Emerson whereas andrew is teaching false doctrine

he's basing a whole lot on Acts 2:38 - "for" "eis" as "because of" or "in light of." Where is the textual support for that? That word is used over a 1, 000 times in the New Testament. Find a case where it means "in light of." Would you argue that in Romans 10:10 - "with the heart one believes and with the mouth one confesses RESULTING IN (same word) salvation." Or what about Matthew 26:28 - "blood of the new covenant, she for many FOR the forgiveness of sins." Or maybe Romas 6:3-4 - "Don't you know that all of us who have been baptized INTO (same word) Christ Jesus have been baptized INTO (same word) His death" -- In all of those, and so so many others, it is clearly not "because of" and obviously "unto" or "into."

Also, in Acts 2:38 - is this his argument about repentance as well, that is comes after salvation? The text says, "Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the forgiveness of sins." Have you ever heard a preacher say that "Repent "in light of" already forgiven sins." That's just silly, and wrong.

He's right about this: the blood of Jesus saves. But he's wrong for saying that such is accessed without water baptism. He's wrong for saying that Paul didn't come to baptize as evidence that it wasn't important. Just ask the Ethiopian Eunuch about that. After Jesus was preached to him, he saw water, stopped the chariot and was baptized. Preaching Jesus means preaching immediate baptism, and Acts 2:38.
