Striped I have a genius video idea. Have a silver submit a replay, then let a gold coach the silver by watching it and showing the silver one of his own replays. Then, repeat the process by secretly making the gold give his replay to a Plat. You could continue the cycle all the way to a pro critiquing an SSL. It would be cool to see what tips each rank think are most important to give to the rank below them.

If I was that Champ who hit that triple reset and then it went in with the slight bounce and then it not counting when Striped didn’t tell him before completing the challenge I would’ve been so tilted. Especially if I messed up all three tries. Guys cracked 👍

Plats as a group believing they can air dribble with any sort of consistency is adorable

Edit: no shade to the plat in the video, I'm not planning on being in anyone's video, so props! But I thought it's hilarious that a group of plats thought that air dribbling is something they can expect from themselves and their teammates.

Plat's can NOT air dribble. I mean yeah they can get a setup (sometimes), but usually they just hit the backboard

Its interesting that theres "mechanics" each rank should do but it really depends on the player. Just because you cant score 7 ssl shots doesnt mean you dont deserve it.

But i guess this is for content so it was a fun video though

@ 10:15... This was one of the most common things plats said they can do.

I'm quite new to the game, few months in. Just reached diamond but concider myself a platinum still. Plats might SAY they can air dribble but we can not airdribble at all. They probably mean they once managed to do this airdribble-kinda goal after 10.000 attempts, only to not be able to do it again.

The rare air dribble you see in plat are from most often from smurfs and the exceptional freestyle-ish guy who spent 99.9% of his rocket league hours into learning this cool looking thing while not knowing the kickoffs, rotations, or any other basic aspect.

Honestly from what i see in diamond 3 (dropped to diamond 1 cause of the amazing random mates who challenge every ball but different story) and i barely see an air dribble and even less rare a flip reset, and i also played with many champ there and even they didn't really do anything fancy, they just play more consistently and a little faster than your average diamond, i am not really mechanical since i can consistently hit flip resets or ceiling shots and shit like that but my game sense is i would say better than diamond, that is all you need tbh, i have decent speed and very good shots with decent saves, air play is average, i can hit good ones and i can miss easy ones too lol, all in all you don't need flip resets and to be overly mechanical to reach champ, after that you just need air dribble probably, Flakes is a good example for players who are not that mechanical but still plays SSL in 1v1
