I do long drives on my 23 sr5 tundra, no issues and it really comfortable to where driving long trips are really enjoyable, I did have to install seat risers as I am not too tall about 5-9. I do carry a lot of weight sometime and it feels awesome only issue I have is the wireless connection to my phone. so far best truck ive owned

The reason I will always stand by Toyota is because they never purposely put out something that they don’t believe is not gonna last. Mistakes happen but Toyota has always talked the issues head on. Unlike somebody like ford who purposely put out car with transmissions that failed in testing. Once I made the switch to the Toyota brand I’ve never looked back. As far as the nitpicking in this review, it is a review so you’re supposed to. There is no other truck on the market that I would pick over the tundra.and remember that not everybody will experience the issues that are shown in this video.

I haven't had that much stuff break or any loose trim on my 2013 Ram 1500 and Toyota's are supposed to have good build quality.

Good review. I have the 22 TRD off road and I love it. Is it perfect? No, but you're right. What automaker is producing solid vehicles these days?

I've been hearing of more serious issues with these trucks, from rear ends to blown engines. Surprised to see so many little build quality issues as well. This is not your Father's Toyota, evidently.

Does the engine still shutoff when you remote start and open a door?

I've had 2.the last 1had that major rack systems failure and I almost hit a building and then dealing with Toyota on my rental car which I had to get because they ran out of them and then told me about the recall at 8pm .I had to fight them over 309 00 when they said we only pay for a small car.i Don t do small nothing so they refuse to pay me a 100 bucks amd all these new recalls.ill be leasing some other pickup truck this time

I think its just a brake hold feature and not a engine stop feature.

They are not competing for lower EPA standards, they are complying.FJB. 2.5 gen is best 1/2ton made. Nice review Chris.

Seems like the music has stopped now and if you have one of these timebombs you're stuck with it for the foreseeable future as it's become non-sellable as a trade-in or on wholesale. People saying it's no big deal but personally I think Toyota trucks have a budd Lite future ahead of them given the triple customer betrayal (pricing, engine options, tundra timebomb)

So. Basically since the first Gen they aren't as good
