I'm here because my truck just shut down last night. Great video!

Great news! Big hit for toyota, but reputation > anything. This was the only solution to remedy this situation, anything else would've been less.

I have a 2022 and I am in shock. I'm glad I kept mine. Good on Toyota!

Right thing to do Toyota if you wanna keep that reputation and keeping customers coming back 👏🏾

With the negative press everywhere, this was Toyota’s only option. And it is the right one…albeit an expensive one. 👍🏻

As a 2024 3rd gen Tundra owner I am very relieved to hear this if the 24s end up being affected. Thanks for these continued updates Jon, but now we need a Tundra update from you! The suspense is killing me lol

They’re doing the right thing. Having a bunch of rebuilds going on was never the way.

Hopefully the new engines don't start to mess up...

Let’s keep the pressure up. We still need answers on the 24s and the hybrids. Probably want to roll the recall in phases but if you have one of those I know you’re still worried about it.

Big step up from Toyota to make it right! Makes you feel better about GX’s, would think Toyota was aware of the issue before rolling those out and was already thinking full replacements, wouldn’t have put out a new vehicle with engine issues like this pending

Glad they are doing this. Makes sense and much easier for the dealer.

What’s going to be interesting is all the little problems that turn up from the massive amount of things that have to be taken off or moved out of way to get these new engines in. Taking an engine out of a modern truck is no easy task, this isn’t the 1960’s or 1970’s. Bolts not tightened properly or left out completely, all the electrical items that have to be taken out etc etc etc. no way I would want to be paying for a new truck that a mechanic at a dealer had done all this to. Good luck owners.

Like you said, still need hybrids and 24s included, and warranty info. I think they’ll do the right thing with enough pressure :)

Wow that’s great news people should get them while they are cheap

Had a 2017 that I loved. Recently, I sat in a 2024 Crew, Limited and longbox. Love the utility of the longbox.

Lesson learned. Don’t rush out to “upgrade” if you have an older vehicle.

Ive had no issues with my 22 1794 TRD. But it’s good to know it has long term warranty!

Now if your like me with a 2024 with a hybrid powertrain you wondering will my truck be included soon. Makes truck owners like me really want to know considering we paid $$$ for these trucks. The sooner the better. Thanks for you your update.
