My sales have really slowed down with promoted. I haven’t seen hardly any sales in the last few days and all my listings are promoted

Man, you handled this a lot better than some people. No attacking anyone or anything, refreshing to see.

Hi Paul, great video! I also heard that they have cookies that tracks for 30 days, so we also have to end the the listing. Because if the person ever looked at your listing then came back to buy it it will still charge the promoted listing fee.

And don’t forget, these promoted listings are essentially search ads. So You’re paying to be listed at the top of the search results in eBay.

However, eBay will move the highest paying buyer’s ads to the top and drop the lower ones.

So, if your entire catalog of items is shown as promoted listings, there’s a good chance that 50% or more won’t be shown at ALL in the top search results because eBay is favoring other higher paying buyers.

Thanks Paul for this.
If you have an update showing how you’re doing after you remove promoted listings, I’d like to see it.

Paul, I tested this on my flagged account (eBay insists that my account isn't flagged!). I'm always running promoted listings on this account. I searched for my item using my whole title, and my organic listing came up in the #1 position. Interestingly enough, the SPONSORED LISTING WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. I tried this with another of my listings, with the same results. I don't think eBay's IT people really know what they're doing. (As a side note, when I did these 2 searches using my exact title, several other identical listings appeared using my exact title. These are lazy sellers.)

That's insane! I just turned off ALL my Promoted Listings, so I'm also in Test mode. Thanks Paul

Thank you Paul. I was wondering what was going on. My promoted listings haven't been showing up either. Is Ebay writing their own epitaph?!!

How does it effect flagged accounts? Mine is flagged, shall I stop my promoted listings as well?

My sales have plummeted. I'm going to go and remove the promoted listing feature.

Best video so far on this topic. It was concise, clear and to the point without taking too much time to watch. I turned off all my promoted listings and my sales shot up the first day. Only one listing that sold was from promoted and the rest were organic. I am going to wait to see what happens next before doing anything else.

So, do I need to stop all my promoted listings in order to be more visible in the eBay searches and get more traffics?

I sell custom made items on eBay. A year or so ago I started using eBay's sponsored service at whopping 20% and it made my sales increased somewhat. Today, my sales seem like they've dropped off a cliff with a 80% or more decrease. I wonder if what you're saying about people using those ad blockers have anything to do with it or is it just eBay messing with my listings? Have you tried reposting the same listing twice (with and without sponsorship) to see if there is any difference in the way they perform. If so, I would luv to hear the results. Thanks!
