UPDATE: Maybe it's a coincidence, but .. it finally worked for me when I did this: Filters tab > Rotate= 180. Thanks again!

Thank you for the Handbrake website info. I selected filter instead of video, and just rotated it. Much easier for me.

I followed the instructions exactly, but it didn't work. Using comment tips here, I finally got it to work by following these instructions up to choosing "video tab" -- BUT -- instead chose "FILTERS". From there I chose "ROTATE" and then 180 in the drop down menu. Finally worked!

1 : x flip

2 : y flip

3 : 180 degrees rotate (also the DEFAULT)

4 : 90 degrees rotate (clockwise)

5 : 90 degrees rotate + y flip

6 : 270 degrees rotate + y flip

7 : 270 degrees rotate

Excellent video!
It worked just fine for me. I wanted to rotate a couple of videos 90 degrees to the right and attempted to rotate them with VCL media player after watching a few YouTube tutorials, and it didn't work. Handbrake did the job!

Awesome and easy. I googled the code to rotate a video only 90 degrees and found the code for that too.

Depending on the machine OS and version of Handbrake, there were issues rotating this way. With the latest version of Handbrake, rotating is in the Picture tab, with a dropdown for 90º, 180º, 270º, 0º, along with a Flip tickbox.
