They made such a simple thing complicated. In the photos app click edit on your video, go to the crop option, and hit the curved arrow. That's literally it.

1. Tap “edit”
2. Tap on the “cut/rotate” button
3. Tap on the “rotate video” button
4. Turn the video at the preferred direction
5. Tap “done”
