I think a 1/8 spread is a nice small one to start with. I usually like to go 1 spot of $25 minimum then $50, $100, $200 with one spot or if multiple people at table I’ll go from 1 spot if $25 to 2 spots of $25, $50, then $100. It’s really small but profitable with a small bankroll and they really don’t notice cause it’s no where near table max

Overly big bet spreads can be bad for 2 reasons: 1) it attracts casino heat, and 2) it increases your risk of ruin.

The reality is that you will always lose the most amount of money when the odds are in your favor. At least overtime it’s a +EV. I usually go for a 1-20 or 1-40 if I don’t care about the place, and man those 2x$500 bets hurt when the money doesn’t come back.

Does a 1:10 bet spread generate suspicion in your experience? I really don't want to be banned from a certain casino but at the same time don't want to play with razor thin profit margins. I'd be minimum betting $15 and max betting $150.

Does counting change if you’re playing a 6 deck game or 8 deck game…

As a novice black jack player that likes to play two positions how would you suggest i bet. I play the 3:2 tables but never bet more than $5. What type of min/max bet spread would you suggest. I've considered $5min and $15max i'd even consider $5/$10. Is this the basic principle or am i showing a basic understanding of the betting principle.

My question is how do you say how many decks you divide while card counting, do you count to 52-52-52 for 3 or do you just glance at the card pile and estimate "thats 3 decks" based off size?
