Kinda like playing the stock market. Short term= put everything on one stock and hope for the best.
Long term= pick a few and use the dollar cost averaging technique.

Colin, I had heard from someone, who is reliable, say that if you have a 1000 unit BR then that pretty much eliminates your chances of wiping out your BR. What say you. Ok, this is assuming you play right and there are good rules.

Have you thought about mixing up your bets at a 0 count of the top of the deck say betting 2 units at a zero count then if the count goes negative cut the bet in half, if it goes positive double the bet.

Where I play if a better goes from $5 to $200 they will kill the deck by shuffling it. You can spread a little with out a shuffle up like going from $10 to 2 hands of $30 without a shuffle but a $5 to black action would get a shuffle.
