Do you suffer from lockjaw or TMJ?

Releasing the muscles around your jaw can be very helpful for tmj pain, particularly the masseters and digastric. For more serious lockjaw I also like to release the pterygoid muscles located inside the mouth.

I have had TMJ for some time now. It has worsened gradually, but recently, my jaw has been locking, and I'm having trouble eating. I'm thinking of going to the chiropractor. I'm scared. The treatment sounded painful, but she also appeared to have immediate relief. Finding the "right" chiropractor will be of most importance. 🙏

Just three days ago I went to ENT because of itching ear. The NP was explaining that sometimes it is the jaw, TMJ, that can sometimes cause my symptoms. She was feeling along my jawline and my jaw popped back into place, surprising both of us. I had no idea I had TMJ. Itching ear, go figure!

who is better at treating locked jaw? chiro or physio? I am currently getting physio treatment for jaw locking but it takes time. Im at my 12th session already? Each only around 25mins
