Bricklink will always be the best option for buying just the minifigs out of a current set if you dont want the set/have some duplicate figs already and only want a few from the set.. you can even buy many full builds for reasonable price.. but even with legos prices ill still always love and prefer them and will buy the sets from them that i think are cool/worth and so should yall!

I already don’t buy Lego sets, that’s because they’re too expensive. When I get my tax return (I’m a minor working in Canada) I’ll get a huge lego set and repeat the process next year

I support pushing people to MOC-ing, but it's just not true that Lego is expensive. Today, Lego sets are more affordable by part count and by weight than they were in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Sets are just growing incrementally bigger and more complicated.

Yeah I can't. I live in Australia the aftermarket Lego market here is fucking atrocious when compared to the US. I have to look for weeks, months and at most a year to get a good deal for old Lego.
