As a Corolla Hatch owner, I can safely say that all three of those cars are a solid choice for people looking to have something more fun than a crossover.

I ended up choosing the mazda 3 hatch, and here are my reasons. The car is made and assembled in Japan. It has the nicest interior. It has a traditional automatic transmission. It doesn't have a turbo, but still has plenty of power. Most of these things are really a matter of opinion and like most people said, the differences between these vehicles is so close. There are other reasons to choose the civic and corolla as well for example, the pricing and rock solid reliability of corolla or the gas mileage of corolla and civic. Great video and great comments. In the end I don't think you can go wrong with either of these.

Mazda 3 best looking by FAR! Inside and out. As for Honda I’d prefer the new Integra. And the Corolla just does everything well overall...nice design, great on gas, built in Japan etc. This would be a tough choice between the 3

Mazda 3 is the way to go, just bought a 2022 love it ! I’m a active cyclist, my bike slides in the back with no problems, removed the front wheel and place my bag next to it plenty of room. Just hit 1K runs beautiful 👍

Japanese brand, hatchback, 6MT, reliable. These are EXACTLY my criteria! I also thinks the Civic does the best job.

1. Civic hatchback 2. Mazda and finally 3. Corolla. But they are highly reliable too. I recommened Civic ....

I love my 2021 Corolla XSE hatch. What drew me in was the $24, 000 price tag and the simplistic 2.0 that won’t have issues.

I own a 2019 Mazda 3 AWD. I live in Vermont with snowy winters, and the AWD system does an excellent job of sorting out traction. If weather isn't an issue the Honda is probably a better car, but I would probably still take the Mazda based on looks.

As a stick shift driver looking for a new car, I was thrilled to hear you say right up front that all three cars in this review were manual transmissions. Thanks for the great review.

Rotary knob is definitely much much better to use than a touch screen, once you get used to it you'll see the huge advantage over the touch screen.

I recently got the 2022 civic hatchback lx about a month ago and I absolutely love it so far, the back seat room and cargo room were the primary selling points for me, plus I really like the style of it a little more as well

The Corolla wins in my book with its price and the iMT function. As a new manual driver this will really come in handy as I'm learning to drive the 6 speed. Since I rarely haul passengers, the rear space doesn't concern me. Even being 5'10" it wasn't horrible sitting behind myself.

I got the 2020 Corolla hatchback se and I love it! For the price you get a lot of technology and I think it looks the best of the 3 cars.

Too bad Honda limits colors to boring grey, white or black in the US if we want the Sport Touring manual. Really wanted that boost blue.

One of the best non-biased reviews of these cars I've seen on the web. I lean toward the Civic on styling ---the other two looked too chopped off in the rear.

I do like the interior of the Honda Civic. Definitely a nice step up in the new design. Nice well rounded car comparing to the other two. Thanks, very good review. 👍👍

Mazda 3 is the best looking. I own one and in its 3rd year and loving every moment of it.

Been looking for a Honda hatchback 2022 and my only issue is finding one that has all the features I want without having to go out of my county for it. I have always had great performance and reliabiliy from 2 previous Hondas I've owned and both have been solid vehicles in my book. This review just confirms my future choice of the hatchback as Honda has always done well with upgrades to their best selling models. At this date, I may want to hold off and just get the 2023 model instead.

The Civic with the manual in boost blue works for me.

I wish you would have touched on transmissions. I believe the mazda is the only one that doesn't have the CVT variable transmission that I'm not a fan of
