I think the corolla hatchback looks more sporty than the civic. When the GR corolla comes out, there will be no competition for honda.

I'm really impressed with this comparison. I would definitely pick the Corolla Hatchback over the Civic but Toyota actually had praise for the competition. That takes confidence

When I drive the Civic (and even more so for the Mazda 3) it feels enjoyable and has an interior design that feels like the designers care about making the car feel upperclass and comfortable. When I sit in the Corolla.. I feel like I'm sitting in a plastic appliance that the designers have pieced together from the parts bin - or more accurately - lots of features but all jumbled together. Not to mention, the entertainment system has been painful. When I drive the Corolla, it feels boring.. no other way to describe it. The Mazda for example, is fun to drive slow or fast. These kind of comments and feedback don't show so well in a stats list, but I feel are the kinds of points that Toyota should be responding to in their new cars.

civic hatch has double the cargo space of the corolla hatch which is what really matters with a hatchback 🤷‍♂️
