After years of being criticized and being made fun of, they finally let out all of that aggression 😂 definitely the most fun I had writing one of these scripts

The 5e ranger forgot to make rangers his favorite enemy and mark the 1e ranger as his favorite foe. If he did he would've won easily

Old Ranger totally had it won, but the power of "Bees Nutz" was a KO! lol - Hector

1st edition is right, Ranger needs to respect himself more. He's got the Horizon Walker, Gloom Stalker, Fey Wanderer, and the Drakewarden as subclasses! That being said, do either Sorcerer or Warlock next!

Oh NOW I get the *Bee*-gin detail. I haven't tried Swarm-Keeper Ranger but it could be interesting.

ALSO, 5th Edition ranger does have the ability, (Under a certain Subclass), to raise and train their own DRAKE. And that is both AWESOME and arguably adorable.

Only thing missing is the 1st edition barbarian just entering the scene, announce he has better survival skills than the 1st edition ranger and leaving the scene. With a barbarian horde.

The last bit had me on the floor laughing. Also, a suggestion is to make a skit of the ranger reacting to the changes in Tasha’s cauldron of everything. Could be funny

The foreshadowing with the Beegin was really funny

5th: "How's been giving away all your goods & treasures to a worthy cause been treating you?"
1st: "I did have a f*** about that statement, but sadly, I gave it to a worthy cause."
Me: *Busts a gut laughing*

(whispers to 5e Ranger) Dude...Drakewarden...ride own dragon.

5E RANGER: Wait...my own dragon?
1E RANGER: Hang on...I thought that was just a Dragonlance thi...

(5e Ranger is happier than he has ever been)
(1e Ranger is KO'd after taking 20D12 "too much awesome" damage)

The ranger really is an under appreciated class. Sure, at first it wasn't that good, and the Beastmaster is probably the worst subclass in the whole game, but they've really come into their own. The new options make the class really good, and the new subclasses are unique and pretty powerful. Hell, even the revamped Beastmaster is pretty awesome.

Give the ranger some love, people.

One of the funniest things you can do in 5e (in my opinion) is party with multiple Gloomstalkers. Invisible both to the enemy and each other.

Well, one good thing 5e gave ranger was Gloomstalker.

You still need to multiclass with something else to up its damage, but it's still a solid option.

**Fizban enters chat**
Fizban: Worry not 5th edition... look I bless you with Drake Warden, you get a dragon buddy.

Rangers are pretty solid in 5e
-good spell list
-solid damage per turn
-have an ok set of support going for them (though i dont think this is great for most players)
-lots of different playstyles based on subclass

Honestly there are plrenty worst options out there and a lot of these benefits apply to the very first rangers in 5e before being buffed

I was just expecting them to go up and hug each other while crying at the end. I was NOT expecting THAT.

Ah, 1st edition... When you actually had to work at playing something other than a basic class, and were rewarded for that work. Rangers had so many requirements and condition an player actually had to plan and Role Play to keep a Ranger going, and the rewards were commiserate with the work. The requirements for a Bard were insane, but by the time you could play one, your character had already been adventuring for years. Don't get me started on Paladins. 1st edition Paladins were the origin of the Lawful Stupid alignment based on the tight rope they had to walk just to stay a Paladins.

"I did have a f*ck about that statement but I gave it to a worthy cause" is an amazing line

5th. I walked into an encounter with eight dire wolves, a party member had six wolves temporarily fallowing them, the wolves turned on us to fight us with the dire wolves, I killed the alpha and got a nat 20 on animal handling, and became the packs new alpha. I now have sixteen turns in combat.
