If anyone cant tell, keep the legs straight down, hinge slightly forward at the hips, dip down to about 90 degrees and push back up, you should be moving in a straight line motion up and down

Hey guys use gymnastic rings for dips. I promise, you will have shoulder pain relief. In addition they are much more beginner friendly and scalable. You can start with them low. Where your feet touch the ground. Essentially making it a dead stop dip. And then scale up from there to where you are completly in the air.

On top of that you get core work and you work your stabilizer muscles. I stand behind it 100%.

100% I don’t know how many people I’ve seen trying to do dips like they’re trying to avoid drowning, and they have to keep their head straight up when you bend like your body is supports you you can hit those muscles and avoid extra pain

Engage your core and stick your chest out. Simple and applies to most push exercises.

Thanks. I never really knew what the proper technique was for dips as I always had the feeling of being pulled back.

I just would like to input since this video was vague, in my experience lifting it’s better to actually tilt slightly straighter upright for a more tricep focused movement, leaning forward more will actually target your chest and front delts as you will be getting a much deeper front stretch.

You also get good chest activation doing it the second way
