The cheapest one works out to be $100 per square foot. You can build in RCC concrete for a much lower cost.

The popularity of minimalism and tiny homes has caused the cost of these ''cheap' homes to skyrocket. These aren't affordable in the slightest.

For these prices in the midwest, you could buy land and have a 1200 sq ft ranch style house built. What is the point of these small cookie cutter houses, if they aren't cheap? Tiny homes can be built easily for under 10grand. These prices are atrocious.

Like the idea of classifying its product as "mobile home". Cuts red tape, simplifies process. Standardized prefab is more readily suited for permitting, site prep, and overall work flow completion rate.

Always address weather tight issues especially roofs where rain seepage and snow loads are issues. Thank you!

I'll just appropriate some of their ideas... & build my own.

A few years ago, these weren't as expensive. I think the popularity of tiny homes has driven the prices sky high.

Kit homes end up costing the same or more than a regular house. I don't see the viability.

My favorite is the last one, the zip kit. That would be perfect for me.

We live in a 1958 vintage National pre-fab home that is a sound as the day it was built 62 years ago, and just as sound as stick-built homes of the same era. It was built as 3 bed 1 bath on a full basement. It has since had another bed and bath added as a master suite and had the kitchen remodeled, but no major structural changes. If it has any drawbacks, it is the 2” framing of non-load bearing interior walls.

6:03 very dangerous stairs even for any age group. Mobile - come kit homes are really amazzzing having lived in one for nearly 13 years. They are depending on the company, far LESS expensive where I live than compared to homes in other countries. The best part is they can be made within days. Less cost, less drama with town council plans, less builders and time of months building a normal home. We bought ours for $32, 000 sold may 2019 for $202, 000. Making a profit of $170, 000. Took that money and bought a real home in the country outright. They have there purpose....but it all depends ''where'' you live. That's the key.

People seem to forget that regular homes do come with the land....so you must factor in land cost versus actual house structure cost.
Land will include water, plumbing, electrical and gas hook-up with the land prep.

For example, a $300, 000 3 bedroom home has land value between $100, 000 - $200, 000 leaving only UP to $150-200k of actual house cost.
So these minimal tiny house structure would have to cost $15, 000 - $40, 000 to be practical

A house like koda concrete should only be 10K
Charging 100K is robbery

The square foot cost is absurd. I've finally come to the conclusion that a sheriff's sale is in my future. Park model repo of 600 square feet went for $1500. Cost to move and set up in my land $22000. Including land cost on 210x90 lot. Tiny brain not tiny house.

Neat concepts but outrageous prices smh some have money to throw away while others would be better off buying a foreclosure or fixer upper and come out far better.

Tiny Homes have become a gimmick. When the price is shown I actually LOL.

Oh I like the first house. Card board. How does it stand up to pests like termites? How strong is it? Can it withstand storms. Tornadoes hurricanes?
