I love waking up at 4:30-5:00 am 🧡 especially because I love watching the sunrise and do my spiritual rituals and meditations then 🧡🕊♾🌅

Hare Krishna, I’m a monk in the Gaudiya Viashnava sanatana dharma tradition. We get up anywhere from 2am-4am everyday and chant the holy names, meditate, or read scriptures. At 4:30 am we have A Mangala Aarati where we sing, dance, and offer aarati to the lord.
I’d really like to speak with you sometime. You actually inspired a lot in making the jump to full time spiritual life many years ago. Thanks for the video Vishuddha Das.

I used to wake up at 3-5am and go meditate by this line of trees down by the river… it was magical!
I would be in such deep meditation I could not feel bugs crawling all over me until I had awoken and I would see source energy flowing up and down my body when I would breathe in and out, bright white light flowing with my breathing pattern.
The energy is so calm and less chaotic due to everyone else being asleep and the dawn of a new day. 🙏❤️

Oh nice, what a fun and unique topic! I can definitely agree about the stillness in the hour(s) before sunrise. I used to have insomnia bad, and the only upside of not sleeping was the solitude i could enjoy in those hours early in the day.

Also, I thought you were going to mention how 3AM is considered "the witching hour" because the veil between spirit world and material world is at its thinnest. I wonder, what's your thoughts on this??

It’s really interesting how in Islam there’s something called Tahajud which is an extra night prayer that’s optional for Muslims to do before sunrise. It’s said whoever prays Tahajud, their prayers are always answered because during that time specifically Allah (God) is the closest to the earth to hear prayers willing to respond to whoever calls upon Him. It’s considered a very special prayer.

How similar it is to this is fascinating

in the summer (germany) I sometimes wake up at that time and then I like to go out in the forest and spend the sunrise there. its such a powerful experience! everybody in that place is waking up and preparing for the great moment. from silence more and more birds beginn to sing and everything gets more energetic, untill its like a great party and everybody sings together to greet the sun. and then when its done its time for the wild goose couples to fly a round together. its like their ritual i see them every time :)

Just as I decide to start reading and watching you again, this is the first video I see and it's perfect! I started a new job last year in September and I wake up around 4 AM for it! ❤️

At the meditation center I go to, the first practice of the day is from 4-6:30 AM, and I always had such a hard time remaining alert at this time no matter how much sleep I got. Because it was so hard for me to sit early in the morning in even a quiet and conducive place for meditation, trying to do it at home has been out of the question for the longest time! However, as I've evolved in my practice, meditating early in the morning is starting to become my favorite practice because of the stillness of the world, and feeling so alert right as the sun is rising is so lovely. I feel like I'm finally in a place where I could try implementing this early morning practice at home.

Interesting topic, I also find that my mind works more amazingly between 5 and 7. I find that I am mentally super energised at this time than any other time of the day.
