Rob, thanks for the episode. It has really changed the way I look at life in general, and the reason why we quit along the way.

Hi Rob, thank you very much for this episode! I have listened to it over 10 times this morning since it was uploaded on the Podbean! I have been refreshing my YouTube page to watch it once it is uploaded because watching you talk through it makes a huge difference to when I listen!

It is so powerful, so intriguing, helpful, and super encouraging. It has given me a boost and it will serve as a "NEVER GIVE UP ANTIDOTE" for me going forward. I thank God for the Wisdom He has given to you! Well done!

Expectations are everything. If you know what will happen, not just think what will happen, you will be much stronger going through that phase. I hope everyone achieves their goals.

So when I started listening i thought, "this will probably be a bunch of BS". Turns out it's exactly what I need to know in order to understand what's been the problem all this time. (Now I'm annoyed that I didn't know this sooner.) Looks like I'm at #3 trudging through the valley and feeling like the definition of insanity. At least this has shed a light on the next steps. Thanks for the simple and clear presentation.

1. Uninformed Optimism: Unreasonable excitment.
2. Informed Pessimism: You become aware of the cost of "success" and thus discouraged. 3. The Valley of despair: Depression / Bewilderness.
4. Informed Optimism: You realise the cost of "success" is worth it and follow through.
5. Success and Fulfilment

Awesome video! I hope I can remember this change cycle when I'm going through the difficult stages since I've often thought of these as signs to quit or that I was "on the wrong path." This is really helpful 🙏

Relevant video.
Do you have one on self-concept?
Also do you have one on how overwhelming self-development movement and concept can’t seem. There are so many things a person can do to self-improve!
