I wish they would have kept him as Halstead because, in real life, the great detectives aim for FBI employment. It is considered the top job in that occupation. It would make a lot of sense for the Halstead character to take a job with the FBI and be asked to join the international group for some reason or another…he could have family ties in the area, etc.

I’m sick of these tv shows. You get to like the show and its many dynamics and then the main actor leaves. This seems the norm these days. I hated him leaving Chicago pd. I agree with one of the other comments on him staying his same character. I think they really dropped the ball here

The guy is made for crime dramas but it's a shame he isn't playing jay Halstead

That police drama has a strong cast of characters with very solid actors. I think the show loses some appeal with Halstead and Upton gone from the series.
