Dive group says they've found Kiely Rodni's car, body

Adventures With Purpose, a YouTube-famous dive team, posted Sunday afternoon on Facebook saying that they found a vehicle with a body inside in 14 feet of water. Law enforcement are working to verify the body's identity.

She was an inexperienced driver, likely drunk, and in the dark. AWP has found a lot of vehicles that fit the same scenario. Mabe parents should give their kids a prepaid Uber account instead of carkeys.

Thank you again AWP...yet again you have brought an end to a nightmare of looking and paved the way to closure and finally the ability to grieve. It's not happy news by no means and my heart goes out to her friends and family, even you guys....I'm sure as a dad jarred is in tears are finally answers. Maybe not a why or how or what happened but the first step....where.

Side note: Blame games and pointing fingers, though natural in these cases, DO NOT HELP AWP or the families in these cases. Perhaps a lesson to come of this, yes! beyond a doubt, other than that, support, prayers and kind words are needed. It saddens me to see these comments go the direction they often go.

If AOP said they found the car & remains inside then you can be sure they found it. They have solved 23 missing persons ( now 24) . Underwater recovery is their specialty. As soon as I heard about this case, I said they should bring in AOP. If she is underwater in the area, they WILL locate her . They are an amazing group of people who I hope can get the reward money. They do this for free for families but would be nice to see reward money go to them so they can upgrade or buy equipment that will help them continue to find missing loved ones.

This is sad. I have a 16 year old daughter but that was too much freedom for someone that young .Out that late with that many people and also behind the wheel of a car

I’m so sad for her parents…their baby so heart breaking. Praying for their healing. Kids please please…including my teen…don’t drive drunk call your parents get an Uber…don’t be around “friends “ who are doing drugs…. those friends didn’t even stop her from driving I wouldn’t even call them friends

It is amazing that AWP finds so many people when usually the only thing they have to go off of is that there is a body of water in the area. In many, if not most of their cases, the deceased usually didn't express any suicidal ideation or anything before going missing.

When I first heard this story my 1st theory was she was abducted, if she wasn't found in 3 days then she is probably already dead but when they said her car was also missing after texting she was heading home I thought there was a possibility she drove her car in the water. Either way this is devastating news.

Adventures With Purpose is a YouTube channel that has found 24 people submerged in their cars. They talk to Family & Friends about the missing person’s last whereabouts. Then begins the process of first using sonar while they scan beneath the water from their boat. They dive once a car is found. They are all volunteer divers & no money exchanges hands Ever! Please watch this channel as the ads & available merch is how they fund their expeditions. These Gentlemen are from Oregon and travel all over the US to wherever they are needed. The loss of a life is tragic, however they bring closure to families some waiting decades. This young woman had her whole life in front her, but chose to drink & drive. R.I.P.

Incredible that the moment AWP joins the search, she is found. Unfortunate that she wasn't found well and alive and safe, but she has been found nonetheless. Job well done AWP!

How unfortunate I said weeks ago when the new first broke out she was in the water. So sorry to the family. I’m happy LE allowed AWP to help out with the search. Their equipment is top tear compared to the normal dive team experts.

They should have these men train more people in this special search technique. Imagine how many cases could be closed quicker. How many more cold cases could be closed? These guys are great.
