Dive team says they've found Kiley Rodni's car with body inside

Adventures With Purpose, a YouTube-famous search and rescue dive team, posted Sunday on Facebook saying that they found a vehicle with a body inside in 14 feet of water.

The divers are a Godsend. Seriously, they have provided closure to so many families of missing or lost loves ones. My condolences to the family of Kiely. May you find some peace in time.

Thank you to AWP. This must be very hard on the team. But, without you I don’t believe Kiely would have ever been found. This is a very sad day. Kiely was such a brilliant, beautiful girl. This was preventable. Please, never let your friends drive or have their keys if you even suspect they’ve been drinking or doing drugs. Please don’t ever leave them alone. Please know you’re parents, or family won’t be angry if you call them for a ride- we just want our kids home safe. For many reasons, for justice for Kiely… I pray this investigation continues. Adventures with purpose does so much and has found so many missing people it's unreal! I had a strong feeling this is what happened to her! And I am impressed with how fast they got out on the scene! God-bless

Law enforcement say they search these waters and don't find anything. These guys come in and, in some cases, search the most obvious spots and find something very quickly. Federal government needs to get off their butts and start looking at this. Changes need to be made for water searches.

Hardly any comments ever mention the parents but what was a 16 year old doing at a party held for graduating seniors filled with alcohol? And driving there to the middle of the woods at that? Some people just give their teens way too much freedom. My kids might hate me but they’ll be alive.

I follow AWP...I told hubby as soon as they posted they were going I'd give them 24 hours of searching they'd find her or if they didn't find her I'd be a lot more investigations into what really happened at that party and what's NOT being said ...Prayers to the families! May they find peace

Side scanning sonar, which is what AWP uses, is not cheap. Doesn’t make sense for small departments to have such a limited-use piece of equipment. That said, AWP seems to have a knack for identifying points of entry where a vehicle could go in the water. Not sure how much currents play a part in a lake, but they seem to have it figured out. Good job to a sad ending for the girl. At least her loved ones now know.
