The work that engineers had to do to make YouTube work is absurd. But then people come and make useless 10 hour videos

I remember the times where blocking the Youtube CDN only allowing the video to load from the fastest source actually made a video load faster... Now if the local bandwith is down downloading, watching and deleting the video file is already as fast as buffering it through...

3:59 it's kind of funny right, even somewhat contradictory... I liken it to the smartphones effect, where people are no longer natural and spontaneous in real life mostly because of technology, but inside technology itself (on the internet) they are allowed to express themselves fully. What an intriguing contradiction really! Youtube and Netflix, you are the alternative media that the world needed.
