I was one of those ppl panicking and freaking out after hours of not being able to get mine in! Get some oil that is safe for the face and use a qtip to apply a small bit to the nose piercing hole. Gently widen your nose ring just a small bit that it fits the thick nose cartilage, now gently feed the ring into your piercing hole and push softly as you feed it in. If it hurts stop. Feeling pressure is fine, pain is NOT. This also works for corkscrew piercings!

Hey all, I'm a former body piercer. Here is a helpful trick ok getting a flat back open nose hoop in your nose. It's difficult because you can't SEE the hole on the INSIDE of your nostril (the exit point of the jewelry). Before you remove your current jewelry -- most likely a nose stud or screw - shine a light up your nose, take a permanent marker and lightly dab the skin on the inside where the jewelry is exciting. Make sure you have cleaned your nose inside and out with sterile saline solution and have clean hands or gloves on. Once you have the marker dab, you will have a visual reference for getting the hoop in. It's helpful to have a friend with you, but if not - go into a well lit area (do it over the sink .... Make sure you pull UP the sink stopper and place a clean towel in the sink in case you drop your jewelry). Remove your jewelry. Look up your nostril using light, and guide the hoop to the marker point. With your other hand / finger gently press into the top of your nostril (the outside part) so you can feel where the hoop is poking through. Using both hands guide the hoop through the hole gently and slowly.

Make sure you gently clean inside and out again with sterile saline solution (the stuff in the can is best).

I've had my nose pierced for years but always wear studs because I buy a ring, get out of the shower, take out the stud, spend 10 mins attempting to get the ring in.. Then give up and put the stud back in. Going to try this!

hiii for anyone struggling putting it in i found a helpful way!! i took out my stud and then put the back of the stud through the outside of my nose (so the hollow part was on the inside) so u can slip the hoop end into it so u dont go poking around ur nose trying to find the hole :-))

the point where you said to put in an earring first actually helped me a lot. i was able to feel where there hole on the inside of my nose was and i was able to put in the ring much easier after that. thank you!❤

Good tip ! Head a nose ring hoop for 5 years and never thought to put the end side in first . Stopped wearing my nose ring for a year and totally struggled putting it back in . Thanks so much

Have tried to do this on and off for years. Used the guide earring like you said and had it in within a minute! I kept trying to wear hoops with no ball (easier to put in) and they kept twisting out of the piercing and hurting. Now I can leave this in with no worries. Thank you so much!
