When he's all done with his theories, he needs to make a video that ties them all together, then we can see the entire story line in front of our eyes.

This started out as fun and ended in an existential crisis

On the true final boss, that could be possible. The End Credits have snipits all glitched, words of one above mortality. Perhaps more hides in the deep dark below.

Theory: all Minecraft seeds are part of the same gigantic planet and the world border keeps you from traveling to other seeds
Edit: you could call a seed a “coordinate” to a location on the planet
Further edit: check the replies to see math on how big this planet would be

Theory: Everything in Minecraft needs balance, time after time we see this. Sheep are slain by wolves in the forest, villagers are slain by illagers, (most) harmful mobs are slain by iron Gollums. Mobs in Minecraft seem to have a natural balance to them. But for things like the ender dragon, there is no balance. The player exists to bring balance to the world. But if there are ancient ruins that implies in the past there was balance. What catastrophic event took place to bring these interconnected dimensions out of balance? Why are they even connected? How did this happen? Is everything unbalanced because somehow they became connected? What happened to all the humans? The humans obviously did something causing a catastrophic event but what? I theorize that the dimensions were all balanced, and when the human's civilization hit its peak they desired more.... they created integrate ways between the dimensions, and then one day it all came crashing down and all these gateways were broken resulting in mass extinction. In their place a new similar species, the villagers, thrived where they left off. Right before this event the enderman learned much information from the humans through the trade of items and goods and used this information to form their own interdimensional technology to bring back their lost brethren and ask the humans what happened, but when they arrived there were no and the portal they made, made it impossible to return to its origin

From here is when the players arrives, who knows how the player came to existence

One of the most creepiest thing is playing in
The loneliness in the game just starts killing you from inside...
And the nights are much more depressing...
Sometimes I feel like a presence watches me in a peaceful world....

My theory: The real ender dragon was the friends we made along the way.

Now I want to see this Emerald, gold, netherite hybrid in game, even if it ends up as a mod

The last theory really is
“Explain what minecraft is. 1000 word limit.”

When you started talking about how gold has mystical properties, two things immediately came to mind.

Golden Apples, and Golden Carrots.

Golden Apples are powerful, by surrounding an apple with 8 ingots of gold you create an apple that can not only buff the player but heal them at the same time. Their enchanted variants are even stronger. Now, this begs the question, how were these food made?

Before answering that, let's look at Golden Carrots. When you surround a carrot with 8 nuggets of gold, it creates the most nutritious food in the game, a Golden Carrot. The food that offers the most saturation in the game. They can also be used to brew night vision potions.

My belief is that certain foods/items in Minecraft, have dormant properties. Properties that can't be accessed without gold's special mystical properties. Carrots have dormant saturation and night vision effects that can be extracted into potions, and apples have dormant buffing and healing effects.

It's also worth noting that the crafting recipes for the apples are more expensive than the carrots. For the apples, you need ingots, while for the carrots, you need nuggets. Could it be the more gold you add to these things the stronger they become? Because even though this recipe has been removed from the game, in the earlier versions of Minecraft, when you surrounded an apple with 8 blocks of gold, it became an enchanted golden apple.

Either way, I'm curious to know your thoughts on this idea.

I know you’re probably never gonna see this but I had to notice something about Bastions that help prove the final boss theory. When you walk into a Bastion you get an achievement called “those where the days, ” implying that you had been there before. Maybe even built it

Ik my theory would’ve never made it on here but I still liked hearing the other theories. My theory is on what happened to the builders. A catastrophic event caused by ancient portals built by the builder(s), leaving ruined portals, bastion remnants, and the homes of the builders that have now sunken to the bottom of the ocean leaving ancient ruins. I can make a film if anyone is curious in me expanding the idea/theory. Yes? No?

Edit: I just saw my theory in the intro, and never new how long it actually was lol

I love how creative and existential you guys are with your theories. Mine was just having the Illagers be something like Blackwolf's army from Wizards ^^;
