Plot twist: Mojang wants us to make different Lore for each world. Meaning it's a true sandbox game

Even if there's no lore... it's still fun to think about
And if there's no lore, it can be a blank canvas for our own creativity and lore

You could say Jens "allowing contradictory information to slip through the cracks"(and the fact that the staff seem to have contradicting opinions at all) could simply mean he's totally fine with other people's opinions on what the lore is, and that there are no wrong or right answers. Minecraft is, at its core, a sandbox, and I think that extends to its lore as well. You build with what you're given, and there's no wrong way to play.

It’s weird to think a game about blocks could have so much lore and so many theories

Knowing about game development, I don't think the lore of the game was ever completely planned out by the developers, but instead the devs sort of built off of each other as more stuff was added. In other words, they considered the lore aspect but they never actually set in stone what it is.

This is honestly a pretty good thought process for any game lore, honestly, abd I wish more theory channels were this through with their theorizing, even excluding the obvious one.

I always thought that the reason the end has gravity is because the end is remnants of a planet that orbits a black hole
Thats why you die if you fall off

I think if mojang gave Minecraft "traditional" lore it would take away some charm in the game. Also it would most likely leave a lot of fans dissatisfied with the real answers (that don't allign with the theories people have made up over the years.) I don't know

Minecraft is like SpongeBob; Harmless on the surface, very dark once you examine more deeply

Here's a question I've been thinking about for a while: what about the immortality of the player? For the longest time, I used to think of this as a gameplay feature (as explained in the video). However, the Nether Update added Respawn Anchors specifically for the resuscitation of the player.
Lore-wise, beds could be explained as merely a way for the player to sleep through the night (gameplay) and the respawning feature was added because that's where it made the most sense. The Respawn Anchor has no other purpose though, which whe paired with the dialogue of the two entities in the End poem, seem to indicate that the player's immortality is a part of the lore.
What do you think of this?

The way you structure videos is so impressive to me.
You did not waste a single second of this video, yet nothing seemed rushed. Underrated video crafting skills
Very inspiring, hope to see you hit the big 1M soon.

“it would not be technically feasible to load both (the nether and overworld) simultaneously”.
Yeah, unless you're using the immersive portals mod.

it’s like applying the scientific method to lore, and i love it so much. if you aren’t/weren’t ever a stem major, i genuinely applaud you for taking this kind of approach on your theories

I absolutely love your interpretations, the whole new takes on a seemingly simple game is fantastic.

I was thinking that maybe you could investigate the weird gameplay things minecraft has.
Example:

When lightning strikes a villager, it turns into a witch.
When lightning strikes a pig, it turns into a zombie pig.

Or maybe just investigate this lightning phenomenon idk

Just a suggestion

Just you wait until I upload my counter-argument: "A Deeper Dive into the Deep Dive of the Deep Dive into Minecraft Lore".

There's something called "Death of the Author" which says that once a work is made, the author(s) words have no bearing on the material. This seems to be the best way to enjoy a piece, even if looking at the author(s) words is fun. Just like how chunks pop in and out, a theatrical play is contained within the stage, whatever it may be.

The game about building using a variety of different materials that can be put together in many different ways to make just about anything has a lore that requires assembling many different pieces of information that can be inferred and put together in a number of different ways, fitting.
