Theory:The wardens are made from axolotls judging by their colors when you inverted the picture.The sculk blocks couldn't appear out of nowhere unless the first sculk block was seen by an axolotl.The axolotl probably touched the sculk and since the sculk infects the floor every mob that dies next to it.The axolotl died by a player and later...Turned to a Warden.
