*I love how the licensed dermatologist totally reacted to this video and didn’t just stand there while I watch another video.*

Manuka has special healing properties, there are many studies being made with woundhealing etc, especially for people with wound healing disorders. Very interesting field I have to say. I stumbled across these studies during nurse school a few years back.

The only thing proper manuka honey is pretty expensive 😂 might as well get that serum/cream/mask from one shelf up 😂😂😂

manuka is a marketing hustle. Best to use raw honey from your local area

I have to say manuka honey facials cured my acne and the dermatitis around my eyes. This reminds me to start doing them again.

I read a study on pubmed stating that manuka honey with the LOWEST UMF rating that was tested actually had more antibacterial properties than manuka honey with the highest UMF rating they tested. The manuka honey with the lowest UMF rating (which was UMF 5) was more effective against E. coli, S. aureus, E. aerogenes, S. flexneri, staphylococcus, S. agalactiae, and more. The higher the UMF rating, the more expensive manuka honey becomes. Right now, it seems more people are under the impression that a higher UMF equals more antimicrobial properties, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Although I’m sure she means well, I will always trust the science before a 23 year old Madison from tiktok giving us her DIY recipe for youthful, clear skin.. Also, it just so happens that UMF 5 manuka honey is insanely more affordable and accessible than manuka honey with high UMF ratings.

Yes! I do it and love it!
Wash face, steam for 5 min, rinse with cool water and then apply honey for 20 min and rinse. You can also mix into plain yogurt. I use local honey and Manuka. Caution- some need to do a test for allergies. 🐝

Honey and milk combined with flowers and herbs, was a common beauty soak routine that the Greeks and Romans would do to keep their skin blemish and scar free, as well as hydrated and supple; this is one thing that they carried into legacy as centuries have gone by. The Greeks were known for their beautiful glowing skin, and utmost strict skincare routines. Alongside this, they would also bathe regularly in hot water, and were one of the first civilizations to use aqua ducts.

To my melanin If you have dark spots after acne. Peroxide fades your spots literally instantly. It’s $1 for a huge bottle at most stores. Just make sure you apply un scented moisturizer and sunscreen after. ✨

Manuka honey isn't required. As long as its honey it will have antimicrobial properties. I used walmart branded 100% wikdflower honey to fight my sub derm and ita never come back.

Do a patch test!! If this is how you discover you have a topical honey allergy you’re in for a world of pain 😬

Washing your face with honey (not just manuka, but preferably raw) is very nice. It’s gentle and nourishing

I would rather recommend honey water toner, less messy and more efficient!

Got to consider whether you're allergic to honey or not. Anything honey related included such as propolis, etc.

To those who is gonna try this, try on small area first.
I put money on my face few years ago, and I got bad reaction few of mins later. When I started to feel like stinging, and felt like my whole face was on fire, I washed my face immediately. My face was so red and buffed. The next day, my face was covered with small pimples, some of them were itchy.... Took more than a month until my skin got back to normal.
Btw, my skin is mixed and sensitive.
