Busting two common hair myths:

❌Lemon does not reduce dandruff
It causes irritation to the scalp and may temporarily reduce scalp oiliness but makes condition worse in the long run.
Better to use an antidandruff shampoo with ingredients like ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, selenium sulphide etc.

❌Onion juice for hair growth
Online was used to treat alopecia areata. It is a condition where there is loss of hair in circular patches. It is an autoimmune condition where certain cells in the skin kill the hair roots. Application of onion oil in these conditions helped as it causes irritation to the skin and stimulated hair growth. In case of patterned hair loss or hairfall onion does not have a role in hair growth. No the sulphur in onion is not going to strengthen sulphide bonds in hair.
If you have hair fall, we need to find the underlying condition and treat.

Minoxidil and spironolactone didn't work as a long term solution for me due to the side effects. I used fenugreek seed water and the hairfall stopped in a week and the hair density increased. Hair texture also changed to shiny and smooth. Sometimes natural things work but need to do your research.

Onion juice worked like a charm for dandruff. I used multiple products suggested by dermatologists and they are of no use. Wasted money on appointments and products.

My mom wanted me to try onion juice and as a last option, I tried it. Can see the difference after 3 washes. Later I learnt, mom's are doctors and kitchen is a pharmacy.

Videos say don't use onion for hair growth, but Mama Earth uses onion in their hair oil, sells it at an extremely high price and says it will promote hair growth.

As a stylist of almost a few years, I can tell you, that you are not meant to use harsh shampoo on your hair.
I've seen hair lines of numerous people, and I noticed that folks who were using harsh shampoos generally had poor hair line.
So I advise only to use natural shampoo only. I myself use and advise to apply littleextrra coconioon shampoo only.
Also, do warm oil massage two times a week as it improves circulation and promotes hair growth.
