Honestly despite I use apple products, I’m not upset at this. This should give apple a reason to not be lazy and at least try to develop better chips than their competitors

Just a correction: 8 Gen 3 uses LPDDR5X Memory clocked at 4800MHz (9600Mbps) which means the bandwidth is 76.8GB/s not just 64 like you stated in 7:45

Really surprised by the 8 Gen 3. It's a monster of a chip. Can't wait to see it in consumer devices

Apple isn’t in trouble. Performance isn’t all that matters. But it’s great to see that competition is driving Qualcomm to develop better chips. The consumer is the great winner.

If Apple goes for a 8 cores they should add 2 mid cores so that the performance isn’t to power hungry. Plus I think with tsmc 3nm design was rushed because of how new it was for tsmc to begin making it. I think next year will be the year Apple will take advantage of 3nm. Either way Apple needs to also add a vapor chamber for cooling or some other technology to allow the device to sustain better performance without reaching the limits of heat thus hindering performance and screen brightness. They have a lot of thinking after how the public is less satisfied and better competition is shrinking the gap.

7:10 but the s23 and S8G2 already support Displayport by usb c at 4k60. The same as the iphone 15. How will the s24 & S8G3 have better support for external monitors and match the iphone when they already the same? Going from 5Gbps to 10 Gbps wont add anything to external monitors. Am i missing something or did u guys miss up?

Have you rerun these benchmarks on iOS 17.0.3 and/or 17.0.1? I've found my 15 Pro scores a fair bit higher in geekbench now on 17.1 than it did when I got it on 17.0.2.
I've also seen significantly better battery life on 17.1.

0:57 how the bar for for 26 fps is twice as long as 21 fps ? what type of scale is it?

Impressive gains on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but in my opinion, Apple better be worried about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 which will have the new Oryon Nuvia cores. Take a look at the scores on the Snapdragon X Elite to give an idea on what to expect. Not sure what Apple can do at this point. The A18 specs are probably locked in at this point and I have a feeling that it will just be a small iteration of the A17. Also, Apple really needs to focus on GPU and cooling if they want IPhone to try to be a serious gaming phone. Also, the A19 chip due in 2025 is also probably at the point where any major change will result in significant delays.

A16 and a17 pro is lagging anyway.
If it cant sustain its performance like in the benchmarks whats the mean of it?

You should do supermarket tabloids with these titles man. lol.

I don't think Apple are in any trouble, because they have very deep integration of SoC, memory and software optimizations of course. Productivity wise they beat every Android phone out there. But actually, all the latest flagships are powerful enough if you're not a gamer and okay for every daily stuff. mode important for me now is overheating and batter life, this should be the focus on every new chip they introduce, no 20% faster, but 20% cooler and with 20% longer batter life...

I don't think Apple is worried, they are about to release the M3 and shortly after this shows up in devices next summer the M4 will be hot on it's heels. And of course the speed numbers are based upon Linux not Windows, MS is going to have their work cut out for them trying to get a decent performing ARM version IMHO.

Could you please do one of this expected estimations with the M3 vs the Snapdragon X elite

Is there a way to measure prolonged performance.. because correct me if im wrong here running bench scores doesn't really account for throttling 30-60 mins into playing a game

So… when will products using this processor actually be released?

Your graphs look misleading at 0:55. How is the teal line like 80-90 percent longer than the gray line. When it is just a 5 FPS increase.

0:55 why are graphs not to scale? why is a bar for 26 double the length of a bar for 21?

a17 pro normal vs low power mode battery test. You did that for the M2 which resulted in low power mode being slightly faster than M1, yet better battery life. Maybe because of the 3nm design, running it on low power mode will result in greater efficiency. Would be an interesting video to see.
