This is the Sediment Buster! Such a rad tool for water heater service. No more trying to pop sediment with silver solder or a screw driver when it’s clogged. Simply hit it with air and get it flowin. 🤙🏼 I have an Amazon link or you can visit the main website. @SedimentBuster Give them a follow too!

That’s bad ass. I’ve been a plumber for 35 years. I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along. I’m getting one on Amazon right now.

Ive got a water heater replacement coming up again and im so stoked to get this device. The last 3 or 4 ive done have taken so long to drain and then not even completely.

I've seen this before. I made my own using "Plumbing Parts" and now have one for life. I didn't save any money (~$40), but it's a lot more robust.

Should probably note that is just to clear the sediment out of the way so the tank can drain properly, not actively removing sediment

you don't explain that you need to open a hot water faucet in a sink somewhere or open pressure relief valve, otherwise you could blow something out ????

I've got one . I hit it with the tiny compressor I use for my finishing nail gun using a valve stem adapter. It's absolutely boss. Get one.

I just shut off the water, hook a compressor up to the hot water supply for the washing machine, set the regulator to around 50 psi, hook a hose up to the water heater, and let her rip. Takes about 2 min.

In all fairness, I'm usually winterizing vacant homes when I do this, in case of power outages in the winter; but it works great when I'm replacing elements or just flushing it out too.

Quick shot of air from a baby compressor for tires and it drains just as good.

I hook up a Dewalt car jumper with tire air pump from HD for $99 now. 😊

I drained out my 4 year old water tank a while ago, it took a long time and I didn't think I was likely to get all the sediment out. For the price I figured I would give this a try.

You have a hose connected to the waterheater connect other end to spigot hit it with a shot of water.
You'll need to adapt other end with a female connector or use a rubber sleeve.

Cool, although I invested in a water pump. It pulls everything out of the tank when draining 🤩😍😌😁😁 drains a 40 gal tank in 10-15 mins tops (cost $300 though)

Was this a new water heater because I didn’t see any sediment?

Cool tool

My Milwaukee transfer pump has it done in 4 mins.

This is why I charge so much. I have to keep pumping this thing. But I need you to see it.
