I use a wire basket on top of a rack that I put my shirts in to ice dye. The wire grid is small enough that the ice doesn't fall through, but it lets the water fall into the pan below the rack.

Is there a reason you tie whilst damp? Can you let it dry flat and then tie it up?

Why do you dry it after washing it? I’ve always just tie dyed straight after washing it in Sosa ash. Also what brand dyes do you use please?
