Tips to Increase GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) | Increase GFR Naturally

Dr. Puru Dhawan will discuss some tips to increase GFR naturally in a patient with kidney failure in this video, so be sure to watch it all the way through.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞?
Kidney failure is a condition in which creatinine levels rise due to the Kidney's loss of function. Creatinine is not being effectively excreted from the body. Kidneys, as we all know, are mostly affected by high blood pressure or diabetes. As a result, the damage to the kidneys caused by high blood pressure and diabetes continues to rise. Even after taking medications, it causes an increase in Creatinine and Urea levels.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 :
Blood pressure and diabetes must be under control. So that the Kidney is not further damaged and the levels of Creatinine and Urea do not rise. This will assist the patient in preventing the decline in GFR.

𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐅𝐑 (Glomerular Filtration Rate):
GFR is a formula that takes Creatinine and your age into consideration. You can find thorough information by searching GFR calculator on Google and then visiting any website. DaVita is my particular favourite. Click calculate after entering your creatinine value and age. I'm hoping the GFR value displayed here is the same as the one in your report.

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: To decrease Creatinine, we have to work on renal functions. As the function of the Kidney increases, the level of Creatinine decreases.

𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬?
If a person loses one kidney due to infection or an accident, the person will still be able to function. In that situation, the waste level does not rise because other kidneys perform better, indicating that the Kidney can perform better. As a result, we must use the Kidney's superpower to increase gfr level in every kidney failure patient.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 -
In the treatment of renal failure, diet has a 50% role. You can easily control Creatinine and Urea levels with the help of diet. Whatever we eat has an impact on our bodies, either directly or indirectly. If a CKD patient consumes a lot of protein, such as red meat, eggs, cheese, or pulses, his or her Creatinine level will rise. The reason for this is because creatinine is a protein waste product of muscle metabolism. When a renal patient consumes more protein than the body requires, the excess protein is converted to creatinine in the muscle, resulting in a high creatinine level. As a result, all renal patients are recommended to avoid all forms of protein in order to keep their creatinine levels under control.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚?
The liver produces urea as a waste product during the digestion of meals. We can't prohibit people from eating since it's unrealistic, but we can manage how much urea they produce by changing their diet. Consider a person who consumes highly digestible foods such as fat, oil, cheese, and red meat. In that instance, the liver will have to work extra hard to digest it, resulting in aberrant urea synthesis in the body, which will eventually show up in KFT results.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐅𝐑𝐓?
KFRT is a herb-based method in which we must first address and regulate the cause of renal failure. You can contact our doctors directly if you require assistance. If you still have questions related to kidney treatment, you may post them in the comments section or contact our support team.

What should people who do intensive weight training do? Their creatinine levels are naturally higher than sedentary or mildly active people, but not necessarily due to kidney problems.

My GFR is 98. It use to be 115 a year ago. What is causing this? I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. I have been studying nutrition for years and feel healthier now than I did 10 years ago. I don't eat anything processed and my bmi is good at 22.5. I'm athletic and have a 31 inch waist 5'6 150lbs. What could possibly be causing it to drop so much? I have excellent blood pressure at 110/65. My hba1c is 5 so no diabetes. My creatinine levels are great with no protein in my urine. Could it possibly be from the supplements I take? I take 0 medications just protein powder and supplements such as vit d, c and b and probiotics, magnesium, quercitin, n acetyl systein, vitamin e and milk thistle and monolaurin. I only drink filtered water, no soda or juice in almost 10 years.

Hello doc, I’m 70, female diagnosed last year wd IGA NEPHROPATHY as per biopsy result. Nephro said I’m stage 3B. Gave me ketoanalogues 9tabs/day to lower creatinine. Last year creatinine was 151…. Last February down to 108. Microalbumin still high and there’s bubbles in my urine….proteinuria. I’m not fond of meats ever since. She said mine is an auto-immune disease, coz I have a healthy lifestyle. Is my ckd deteriorating….going to higher stages? But I follow renal diet. Mostly veggies and fish. Once in a while I do cheat also, hahaha. I’m old anyway
