That was hilarious, lol you should first check the egg plant as you pick it from the stem see if it has any holes in it its not good for christ sake you never had any plants or fruit picking before or fruit garden in a pot even apples, and peaches, tomatoes they have to be perfect no lesions around them fruits you cant pick them if they got holes in them because that is where worms, insects eat them oh lordy. In any case, your mom is a good sport is she retired?

We boil the eggplants instead of grilling it so no need to peel off the burnt skin or layer, much easier and less work.❤

Why would you say check for worms? Nobody checks for worms in eggplants here in the Philippines. That is definitely not part of the cooking process of tortang talong in the Philippines. 😂
