IS THIS the most LOCAL breakfast in The Philippines? (my big announcement) 🇵🇭

In this Philippines Travel Vlog, we finally try a local Filipino breakfast classic, Silog! We travel to a local Barangay in the Makati, Manila region and have breakfast at the same spot many locals would every single day - as usual, being a foreigner in a local Filipino neighbourhood was safe, welcoming, and very fun.

I then share a special story with you about my past, and just how much my Philippines experience has meant to me as a Vlogger and a person.

guys, you have inspired me to take a new perspective to my upcoming trip to the Philippines in September. I am an avid photographer and your spirit and energy has my brain tripping over itself for some killer photography ideas while there ..so thanks for being honest, thanks for sharing your journeys and that to the both of you for just being you! Michael reminds me of me, the quieter slightly reserved type and he is reminding me to get outta that box at times lol

cheers from Alberta 🇨🇦

A couple of years ago, I watched a vlogger say... "When you get to the Philippines you suddenly realize that you have ceased to be a foreigner / tourist and suddenly become a part of the Filipino family!

Wishing you both a happy and safe trip to your next destination! Hope to see you back in our Islands in the future! Maraming Salamat Po!

The "silogs" define the quintessential Filipino breakfast.

"Silogs", a portmanteau of the words "sinangag (Filipino styled fried rice) and " itlog" (fried egg, typicall

The variety of the Filipino "silog" breakfast includes

TAPSILOG  = tapa (Filipino styled fried or cured beef)
TOCILOG  = tocino (Filipino sweet cured ham
LONGSILOG = Longganisa (Filipino styled Spanish sausage)
BANGSILOG = Bangus (Filipino fried milk fish)

plus many more silogs like danggit, hotdog, fried chicken

The common or the uniting theme to all these Filipino breakfast would therefore be the fried rice and the fried egg.

SI = sinangag (Filipino styled fried rice)
LOG = Fried egg either styled in sunny side up, scrambled, over easy.

Hi Josie. Thanks for visiting the Philippines 🇵🇭 mate! Filipinos are really friendly, hospitable, nice and happy people. The food is also great, specially the sisig (in which where it was orginated in Angeles city where I was born). Hope you'll be back again. I'm permanently residing now with my family here in Queanbeyan NSW (near Canberra). When we watched your videos we kind a feel like homesick, the foods you ate, jollibee, places you visits and the friendly and generous Filipinos. Hope you'll be back for your season 2! Thank you and take care on your travels 🙏.

Watching this in December, and you now have 105k subscribers. That’s well deserved. Congrats. If there is one channel that standouts in my binge watching the past year, you certainly fits the bill. Keep moving. Keep inspiring.

Maraming salamat (Thank you very much) for spending 6 weeks (including your birthday) here in the Philippines. You made me realize that amidst all the negativities of being a Filipino, we still have an awesome country. Filipinos are really known to be so friendly and hospitable specially to foreign tourists like you. Glad you enjoyed your stay here.

I was also inspired by your positivity and jolly personality. I just stumbled upon one video and ended up watching everything and subscribing. Reading the last part of this video, I am amazed at how brave you are leaving your job to do what you love. More power to you and I hope you come back here, you still have a lot to experience. 😁

I'm a Filipino and this is probably the first time that I'm gonna make a comment on your channel. I subscribed to your channel a while ago and I enjoyed all your videos so much, specially your interaction with my countrymen. Since I work from home 80% of the time here in the US, I always look for a chance to watch your videos in the Philippines.

I miss my home country so much and your videos was something that I always look forward to. You have brought me a lot of smiles (and teary eyed sometimes), and for a few minutes, I feel like I was there with you. Thank you so much to both of you. You're an awesome couple to watch and i enjoyed every minute of it. So I hope you're coming back. Goodluck to your future travels, and God bless. Believe it or not, I'm feeling nostalgic so i'm gonna watch much of your videos in the Philippines again LOL.

Awww, you're making me cry. 😭 I'm gonna miss you, Josie. Thank you for visiting the Philippines. My favorite part was also when you were at Divisoria. Those people were very welcoming and all of them were smiling. I'm very glad that you had a wonderful experience here. Can't wait for your PH Trip Season 2. Stay safe, Josie! Keep on doing what you are doing. ❤
