Very interesting. I am 78 and ride in S.W. Oho where there are miles of trails but i ride from home to country roads and have ridden 7, 978 miles since February of of 2023 on the discontinued Lectric XPremium.

Loving these weekly episodes. I've been commuting on the streets of LA on a Denago Commute 1. I've been bitten by the ebike bug and want to purchase some sort of trail bike for my camping adventures. In response to your article on the Katy Trail, we did it and folks should know you can go or come back via Amtrak that really ads another dimension to your trip. It was fun meeting you guys on Oct. 10 at your trailhead above the Hell Hole. My wife and I were on our red Electrified tandem and it was a blast putting through all those same spots you test stuff out. Roger Crandall

The second bike is the Aima Big Sur. Just bought the Santa Monica and love it. It’s very similar to the Discover 2. Would love to see a review of the Aima lineup.

Speaking of heavy ebikes, please do a vid on ebikes for apartment dwellers. Hauling a 70pound machine up four flights of stairs is a whole 'nother factor in ownership. (I can report it is possible to walk-throttle an ebike upstairs, but it takes some skill)

Thanks for everything you do at EBR! I'm new to the e-bike world, but I've been bingeing on reviews, etc. and you guys have been the source I consistently come back to. I appreciate the clear and scientific review process... Between your information and a spreadsheet I made, I was able to narrow my own top picks down to 3 bikes. Any update on the Lectric One review mates? I’ve been keeping an eye out for it.

I prefer that way my Stromer ST2S handles the "No Throttle on a Class 3". It has a Boost button that takes you up to 12mph, however, it is uncomfortable due to its sharp edges, and after 20 seconds your thumb starts to hurt, even with riding gloves on. So, I really wouldn't call it a throttle, rather a short jump start.

In your trail segment, I am pleased you are kind of taking a beginner’s approach. The Katy and other railtrails have been around for awhile but I think you are wise to take it from the beginning since so many e-bikers are beginners. I suggest looking into the Chief Lanigan/Siver Comet trails which cover 100miles with nice pavement.

G-FORCE RS ST, Bought one via there website, thats when the nightmare began. Tried to cancel order, failed, there email was down? Bike arrives, assembly very easy, test ride 5/6 hundred yards all good. Put battery on charge per instructions, full charge. I installed battery, bike hasn't and cannot move. No error codes but brake light constantly on. I have been trying everything to connect with G FORCE customer/support, not evrn an email back. Theres more to the story but BUYER BEWARE.

As a Californian, our state loves to put regulations on everything. It's ridiculous. Feel for ebike retailers here. Mightjust buy mynext bike from NV or OR. Ugh!
