I was born in 1953 and my grandmother was in love with this stuff even then . When I was growing up, it was even in restaurants in my home town . According to the recipe my Mom and GrandMa used, it had veal, pork and chicken in it . Of course we can't afford that old gourmet version any more . Thanks for you recipe!

I recently tried this recipe because my boyfriend's favorite dish at a Chinese restaurant is chop suey and I wanted to try to make it myself. I made a few changes to make it a healthier version and also carb-free. NO cornstarch! Yes, you will get that traditional Chinese "gelatinus" sauce by adding it but it's not necessary. I also only used a TINY bit of sesame oil, no other oil in the pan. I still used some chicken broth in the recipe and let it naturally cook down a bit in the end. I served it over asian-seasoned cauliflower rice instead of rice or noodles. Walla! you have a tasty, carb-free, healthy version of this dish! My family loved it and said it had the same flavors their used to at a Chinese restaurant:) Thank you for the recipe Wolfepit!!

I made this for lunch today. It was easy and quite good and not dissimilar to the chop suey served at the closest Chinese restaurant. One suggestion: try toasted sesame oil for extra flavor instead of regular vegetable oil

Wake up
Grab a brush and put a little (makeup)
Grab a brush and put a little
Hide the scars to fade away the (shakeup)
Hide the scars to fade away the
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable
You wanted to
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
You wanted to
I don't think you trust
In, my, self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die, die
Wake up
Grab a brush and put a little (makeup)
Grab a brush and put a little
Hide the scars to fade away the (shakeup)
Hide the scars to fade away the
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable
You wanted to
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
You wanted to
I don't think you trust
In, my, self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die
In, my, self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die
Father, father, father, father
Father into your hands, I commend my spirit
Father into your hands
why have you forsaken me
In your eyes forsaken me
In your thoughts forsaken me
In your heart forsaken, me oh
Trust in my self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I, cry, when angels deserve to die

Ohhh wrong video

I love this! I've been trying to recreate the chop suey I love to order and I just didn't have a good idea of a basic recipe. I can see myself adding cashews and additional vegetables to make this really delicious. Thank you so much! I'm glad I found your Channel.

Ya know, it's funny but I never noticed how healthy chinese food can be when you make it at home without all the sugar and fillers. Looks great, Larry!

Many of the Chinese food in America that does not exist in China do exist in the Philippines (beef brocoli, chopsuey, egg rolls, Chowmien noodles cooked in American style, orange chicken....etc.)

You made this 7 years ago 😂 how did you know. We live in the middle of nowhere and the closest town adds noodles to EVERYTHING. Been Craving this and finally decided to learn to make it. Looks Fantastic! My next grocery run to Vegas will included all the ingredients. Seriously, Thank you 🥰

Yep, folks a little tip, for a good wok using cast iron, place skillet in a preheated oven at 450-500 F for 1/2 hr. It will be screaming hot, do not forget pot holders or oven glove for entire cooking process even on stove top. Cast jron js a poor conductor of heat but great retainer of heat. You will have cool spots if you use only on stove top without oven heat. Worms great as wok after that.

If you like a lot of crunchy texture to your dish, drain and add a can of whole water chestnuts at the end just to warm up.

Larry, I can't find fresh bean sprouts either! They always tell me that they usually have them but are OUT! Your American chop sued looks luscious, and best of all, it's fairly low carb! I love this recipe! I need to make it! Thanks so much!
